Ben will go into depth on shooting landscape panoramas, astro panoramas and mega drone panoramas. We will talk about useful equipment that can help keep panoramas straight and minimise distortion during the shooting process. We will touch on an imperative part of post processing that is essential to panoramas and Ben will explain his process he has crafted for capturing epic drone Panoramas.
Ben is a low light specialist landscape photographer from the Kimberley region of Western Australia. His main passions are chasing storms in the wet season and shooting night landscapes in the dry season. Ben is also one of Australia’s leading timelapse photographers just having been the Timelapse Director of Photography on Season 3 of Mystery Road and Drone pilot and Timelapse D.O.P on ‘Our Law’ a SBS and NITV series.
Biography
My love and passion for the East Kimberley landscape developed at a very young age. I grew up in Wyndham from the age of 1, spent 11 wonderful years there, and have lived in Kununurra for 30. I remember as a young boy, having my face pressed up against the window of the school bus, staring in awe across the mudflats at the Cockburn Ranges.
Today, I am privileged to be able to walk those ranges with reverence and humility in my heart and the gift of imagination. This collection is taken from all around the East Kimberley, Wyndham, Kununurra, Lake Argyle, El Questro, the Ord River and Purnululu. Primarily, I hope my photography raises awareness about this majestic, ancient, albeit fragile part of the world and that it inspires you to come and visit.
