With 28 years of experience behind the camera on mine sites and industrial locations, and a well supported respect for his work by a wide variety of both Australian and multinational companies, Christian’s commissions and collaborations have taken him across 5 continents.
Christian’s remarkable work has been recognised within the engineering industry by multiple awards, including National engineering photographer of the year. His work has also received a Gold award at the Melbourne Design Awards for corporate branding and he has exhibited at the Head On Photo festival in Sydney.
Christian has a passion for indigenous cultures that has seen collaborations on several published hard cover books about Pilbara indigenous concerns. He is a keen advocate of renewable energy and has travelled to Denmark and Iceland over the past 12 months documenting renewable energy projects.
He holds an Advanced Diploma in the Applied Science of Photography and his business Csfoto was born after transitioning from a previous career, also in mining that began in the early 1980’s.

Biography
Christian Sprogoe is an established Australian
commercial photographer working predominantly in the mining and industrial
sectors and in recent years renewables. Christian is regularly commissioned for
assignments throughout regional and remote Australia. Larger projects
have taken him across five continents over 3 decades. He’s passionate about his
work and thrives on bringing something new to each assignment by exploring the
finer details in a subject or location. He says of his industrial
commissions, “It is a rare and real pleasure to be given the opportunity
to create art from circumstances and in places where art does not often rank as
