During PhotoLive Expo 2023 Ian will be doing two workshops and one talk. 
From 9AM to 111AM Ian will be running the Food Photography Workshop. From 12PM to 2PM Ian will be running the Printing Workhop and at 2:40 Ian will be talking about commercial headshots. All tickets to be bought individually. 
 

Corporate Portraits Talk from 2:50 to 3:20PM 

Photographing corporate clients on location needn’t be boring. Choosing the right lens, angle and lighting can make all the difference. During this talk Ian will discuss various shooting techniques and equipment to help you create more engaging commercial portraits.

Food Workshop from 9AM to 11AM

In this workshop Ian will discuss and demonstrate how he goes about photographing food for his commercial clients, including composition, best angles and lens choice, styling and taking complete control with studio lighting.

Printing Workshop from 12PM to 2PM 

Colour accuracy is paramount in a good printing wokflow. In this workshop Ian will discuss and demonstrate the colour managed workflow from initial capture through to the final print.

Biography

Multi award winning Australian photographer Ian van der Wolde is a successful Melbourne based commercial photographer who specialities include, Advertising, Aerial, Fashion, Food, Corporate, People, Public Relations, Portraiture, Product, and Industrial photography. Ian also specialises in digital colour management and fine art printing.

Recognised by industry leading brands, Ian is currently a BenQ Monitor Ambassador, Ilford Master Printer, Ilford Master Photographer, Profoto Ambassador, Profoto certified trainer and X-Rite Coloratti.

Ian was both the Victorian AIPP Landscape Photographer of the Year & Victorian AIPP Illustrative Photographer of the Year in 2012 and in 2017 was again awarded the title Victorian AIPP Landscape Photographer of the Year.

A past National President of the former Australian Institute of Professional Photography (2002-2004), He was awarded the title “Honorary Fellow” of the AIPP in 2008 and the Institutes highest honour of “Fellow” 10 years later at the 2018 Institute gala dinner. Ian also holds the designation of Master of Photography with 4 Gold Bars.

As well as running his busy studio Altered Images Photography, Ian continues to contribute to the broder industry by lecturing at Melbourne’s Swinburne University, conducting workshops, providing industry training and mentoring photography college graduates.
